Nintendo Gameboy Mini 4 Boy SKUGB5

Nintendo Gameboy Mini 4 Boy SKUGB5 is a Strategy game, published by J-Wing, which was released in Japan in 1996.  It’s a fun little game racing cars, interacting with characters and using your wit.

This game differs from Tamiya Mini four wheel drive games. The term “mini four wheel drive” is never used (“mini four wheel drive” is a registered trademark of Tamiya). Instead, in the game and instructions the four wheel drive mini machine is referred to as being “about 1/32 scale of the machine.” Hence the unusual title “mini 4 Boy”.   Indeed, not only the software color, but also the outer box and contents are also completely gray.

The story in this game starts when the main character attains a vehicle “(referred to as less machine) about 1/32 scale of the machine”.  The object of the game is to raise to winning ranking through the races.  As the main character you are ranked # 80. You must battle 80 opponents to achieve top ranking.

If compared to F1 races and F-ZERO and Mario Kart, a racing game that is in the first person ride, mini four wheel drive is not a first person ride.  Other driver perspectives are displayed in the center of the screen. Essentially the map is a bottom-up, mini-map that is viewed down from above the circuit. Since the map is in thecenter it is difficult to grasp the positional relationship between the machine.

Please be aware this game is in Japanese.
